Tiffany's Birthday
Tiffany's birthday is tomorrow, guys, and I don't know what to do to celebrate.

She wants to be able to have the girls around (she's going to be out of town for part of the week on a business trip) so that limits what we'll be able to do.

Any ideas?

It's almost halloween, and I don't know if you want to deal with hosting and cleanup, but you could do something like a pumpkin carving party. Maybe the group could chip in and buy 3-4 pumpkins for tiffany and the kids, and then everybody else who wants to participate can bring their own pumpkin? Just a thought off the top of my head. :)

I won't be able to make it, sadly, but she's coming to New Orleans on the trip so I get to see her next week. Woohoo!

Not a bad idea. I got a few weeks ago, a program that lets ya design your pumpkin, then prints out the design to start cutting. It was pretty fun. Then there's the http://www.villafanestudios.com/pumpkins.htm style of carving, which doesn't require hollowing out the pumpking beforehand, so that'd be cool one too :)

Oh, and some of the places up in memphis had like small(4 in diameter) for like $4, and the bigger ones for like $20. We went by home depot and picked up 3 regular sized ones for less than $20 total. So it's not likely to be very expensive at all. Just need a few tools/knives, etc. Not my kitchen knives though :P

The Dollar Tree in Oxford has had carving tools for...$1 per set in the past. They're probably crap, but I think they had some of the "kid safe(r)" plastic ones and such.

Um, is the hanging-out of normal birthday-partyish things not going to work? We could...go to dinner? I'm not sure if she'd want to do that with the girls, though. Any kid movies out? We could all go see a movie...except that may not be very Tiff-birthday celebration so much as child-oriented. Um...we could get together and let Tiffany show us some of her favorite anime. :) The girls can watch, too, and Tiff might enjoy showing some of her favorite stuff to us (as well as watching it). Or...you and Jimmy could treat her to a Special Night of Love (tm)? Hehehe.

I don't really know. Afternoon at the park with a birthday cake?

Oh, wait. I guess the girls really couldn't be there for the Special Night of Love, so strike that one.

It'd be a wee bit disturbing.
