Literally the Writing on the Wall
I have a nearly uncontrollable urge to write on the wall.

This urge is strong enough that I'm contemplating going to the Home Despot, buying an expansive sheet of plywood, gessoing the crap out of it, and hanging it vertically as a writing space.

Is this what crazy feels like?

Nope.

That's what creative feels like.

You're channelling Faulkner! :)

Crazy is wanting to buy the plywood, gesso it, and eat it. You just want to write on it. Seems perfectly fine to me!

A wipe board might be less expensive and more quickly write-on-able.

Crazy feels like spending 3 days trying to remember someone's last name only to spend the 4th day trying to remember whose last name you were trying to remember.

Want to know if you're crazy?

Put something in your hand, blink (without moving anything else), then open your eyes and see absolutely nothing. Make it disappear and re-appear as many times as you want, simply by saying it's not there anymore (or that it is).

That's not crazy, that's "Disbelieve", and it comes in handy vs Great Wyrm Red Dragons....

After all, if it doesn't exist, it can't hurt you, right?

Hrm... I think I need to post one of my plans for a room in the house... I've always wanted a white board room.

I wouldn't even use white board. Go get some of those giant post-it pages people use in board meetings and hang those up. If you see all the words on the wall around you and still feel that way, then go get the playwood.

Now, to answer your question, no. You're feeling crazy because this urge is so strong and you don't know why. So don't question it. Respond to it, let whatever it is work its way out of your system, or not. Relax.

Unless you want to write in blood. That's crazy.

I don't understand what you mean by the "giant post-it pages people use in board meetings". Please explain further? Or post a link or picture?

I'm guessing like Posterboard... like what kids do projects on for school. They are generally like 3x4 feet and white, but you can get them in colors too.

Another idea... Have you ever heard of Chalkboard Paint? Apparently it is available at hardware stores in the States, black or green, spray paint or canned.
