Autumn and mid-spring are my favorite seasons in Oxford, when the winds pick up, the skies clear, the air chills and the sun is warm but not unbearably hot.

The leaves haven't started to fall yet, but I love that part, too, crunching around in thick boots and watching the leaves flutter after I kick them into the air.

I'm so happy to be alive on these days.

I'm off to write in my journal outside and maybe go fly my kite.

I LOVE those two seasons in Oxford... and that largely the reason I miss Oxford so much. I love the whole look of Oxford. *sigh* Maybe I will find similar cool things about Hattiesburg. :)

Unfortunately, Hattiesburg hardly ever gets this chilly and breezy and bright all at once, the way Oxford does. As much as I love my hometown, this seasonal weather in Oxford is hard to beat.

So many good days playing frisbee and lying on the grass under the sun talking with you...I think of you and other old, dear friends a lot when the weather gets like this.

And that's a very good question. I wish we could ask Yoda. Perhaps Frank Oz could spell them...
