Poker was a smashing success. I got to play lots of people I'd never played with before. everraven's phat poker table and Rogers's poker chips were starting to spoil me rotten. I won't be able to play with any substitutes.

There was much teasing of frolicswllamas for being a poker shark. Her play was stellar, and not just for a first-timer. It made me happy that she got to meet some beloved friends of mine and I can only hope that she had as much fun as I did.

kesterly was wonderful company. It was great to see her and just bum out completely for a weekend. Not that I'm under any major stress normally, but it's always different to just dash out of town for a weekend and loaf around someone else's house being company.

There was some pretty swell conversation, too, which is my favorite of all past-times that I share with the Jackson crowd, even though they are a hobbyist bunch. Swimming and Lane Bryant shopping on Sunday (I don't think I've ever seriously clothes shopped with everraven before, not that we were serious, but it was fun doing a semi-girly thing with such a non-girly girl). kesterly is my usual shopping-mate, so I knew already she was a pro with the discount coupons.

Alas, I did not have a chance to swing by birdofparadox's and Glover's house to meet the Professor. I hope to be back sometime this summer and he'd better have his double-helix and doggy lab-kit ready for 'sperimentin' 'cause we're gonna blow up some mice together.

I can't sleep. That's what this journal should be named: "I Can't Sleep".

music: "On Broadway" damnit, who got this stuck in my head?

No kidding - poker was PHENOM! And I'm glad you liked the table! I found it rather ironic that I bought the thing and didn't get to play on it but for those last few final table hours where I God deemed I shall have ice for cards =)

AND for shopping - you know - I HATE shopping for clothes. But with you and Jen, it was terrific fun! We're going to have to do that again. In fact, I'm sitting here right now in my office, wearing my new pimp black suit with a SKIRT. I'm to pimpin for my office, *dance *dance *

Sorry I missed out on the tourney, but looks like I'd have been schooled anyway.

Turns out, we (fheyd and I) were in Jackson part of the day Sat after all. Her g'pa died last week, so we drove down for the funeral. And believe me, even though you can anagram that into "real fun", it wasn't.

So, for fun, we came to Jackson on Friday night, hung out with the krue, and were tempted to stay for the tourney (didn't, because we had to be back in Oxpatch Sat evening, so we couldn't stay late on Sat, which would mean no final table... even if I were eligable for it.). So, congrats on winning, sorry I missed a chance to meet you. Maybe next time.
