I added Kansai Gaidai to the livejournal school list. It's just waiting to get approved. Just thought y'all might want to add it to your list when it's approved.

Good ol' 関西外大. Have you been to the campus since they remodeled it? I enjoyed the uniqueness of the campus when we were there, but now it looks like any other western college, albeit beautiful.

I was on there for the spring semester of 2001, and I haven't been back to Japan or the campus since. I'm glad that they have new facilities and accomodations, but I loved the campus the way it was before. It just seemed so much more genuine, being butted up right to the rest of the city.

There are days when I get serious cravings for a lot of the food I ate regularly there. Although there's a decent sushi shop here, it doesn't have nearly the variety of food that I crave.

Yeah... Japanese food is the best. I miss my weekly sushi runs! What was your favorite Japanese food?

Favorite, hands down, is yakiniku. I've never been able to find it anywhere in the States, although I live in a small town and haven't had many opportunities to look for it when I've visited other cities.

I also get cravings for gyoza that we bought in small frozen packages and cooked in a frying pan; thankfully these can be bought as appetizers at Oxford's local sushi place.

Awesome Ginger, how are you doing? I should try to visit... or come up and visit me!

I am doing fabulously, thank you :)

Of course you should visit, although I haven't talked to John in years, so you'd just be visiting me.
